What do our customers really think of us?

At Bettal we’ve had some fabulous feedback recently from our customers.

Here’s feedback from Denise Baron, Manager at Larchfield Manor Residential Home:

Larchfield Manor Residential Home

“Having looked at other document management systems I believe that the content quality and detail outstrips others especially the detailed work that they have done in ensuring that services comply with the Fundamental Standards and Keylines of Enquiry”. CQC RATING GOOD

Thank you Denise for letting us know how we’re doing.

What is your opinion?

There are warnings from a recent article in Care Magazine about the care sector.
A survey of independent providers revealed that up to a quarter of these may exit the market if the Living wage of £9 per hour comes into being as planned by the government in April next year.
The National Care Homes Association stated “Without increased funding from local councils in recognition of the true cost of care will mean the end of the road for many independent care homes.

What’s your opinion? We’d love to hear your feedback.

Thank you.

CCTV in care homes – what residents really think

Interesting article in the Guardian said that 60% of care workers were reasonably relaxed about the use of CCTV cameras within their homes.

When asked, 53% of residents actively opposed the use of cameras in their rooms.

This ties in nicely with an article featured on BBC’s “The One Show” on Monday the 28th September where a care home in Birmingham has CCTV installed throughout the building.

This is a subject of intense debate. There are those in the care sector who would say this is Protection via surveillance, others that this is an invasion of the privacy of those living there.

The CQC has guidance on this matter. Please click here to see what the CQC thinks of using hidden cameras to monitor care.

Thank you for reading.
