Our team

Albert Cook

Managing Director

Albert Cook has vast experience in the management of social care services and is a former principal inspector. He has developed Quality Assurance Systems in the UK, Ireland and Germany, including residential and support services for older people, people with learning disabilities, mental health services, children’s services and domiciliary care. His qualifications include BA, MA, and Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute – to our knowledge, the only Fellow of the CQI working in the Social Care Sector.

Elizabeth Cook

Financial Director

Elizabeth Cook is the Financial Director of the company. In addition to her financial background, Elizabeth has extensive experience in day care for people with disabilities, nursery childcare and childminding.

Stuart Cook

Director

Stuart has a great wealth of experience and insight in the private care sector, being a qualified nurse and former care home manager. Stuart undertakes responsibilities for company policy, sales and the day to day running of operations. He is involved in the development and review of all Bettal systems, and has project managed and produced Quality Assurance Systems for local authorities and groups in the private sector.

Christine Wilding

Marketing and Development Manager

Christine has experience of working in social care supporting families and children and managing nurseries in the private sector. Christine has held management positions in not for profit and voluntary organisations and has run her own business. Christine’s main role is marketing and development.

Kath McDonald

Senior Office Administrator

Kath is responsible for managing the day-to-day affairs of the Bettal office, making sure everything runs smoothly. She has extensive administration experience and wide experience of our software programme Collabor8. Kath has taken a central role in the development of the Management Task Flow. Kath has a BSc in IT. If you call our offices, Kath will be there to take your call.

Helen McAlister

Administrative Assistant

Helen is an office administrator within the Bettal Quality Consultancy company. Helen is a veteran of the British Royal Air Force and British Army where she was a communications specialist. Helen gained valuable experience within the NHS working as an administrator for the school nurses and health visitors and working within the Children’s Services department in Carlisle. Helen’s primary role is managing the software platforms within the office supporting Stuart and Kath with any other office-based activities.

Stephanie Wilding

Research, Marketing and Development Assistant

Stephanie has experience in the architectural field. Stephanie is a qualified Part 2 Architectural Assistant, she has a BA Honours and a Master’s in Architecture. Stephanie’s role within the company is assisting with the marketing and development of the company through social media.

Peter Ellis

Consultant

Peter is a nurse who has experience in the hospital, hospice, university and social care sectors as an educator, registered manager and director. Peter has been writing for nursing and care publications for over thirty years and is well-known for writing accessible textbooks. Peter also works as a health and social care consultant. Peter works closely with Bettal supporting service registrations as well as writing and updating policies, procedures and other documentation to support care providers.
