Bettal Quality Consultancy’s new website – Phew what a lot of work

Updated: Apr 6, 2023

A good website is crucial to the success of any business, so this week I would like to report on developing our new Bettal Website. I could not believe the work involved in getting the website up to steam.

But I guess everyone who provides a service in health and social care will know what I’m talking about because if you provide social care you are required by the CQC to have one. If you are a company like ours and you are providing products and services to the sector you most certainly need to have an updated website.

Complexity

Unlike many websites where a company is selling a single product or service to its customers, Bettal supplies quality management systems across the adult health and social care sector that include:

- Registration of domiciliary care - Domiciliary care - Supported living - Care homes - Day care

Via our website, our task was to provide information on what we do to potential customers in each of these categories. The operation of these services demands different documentation and a different referencing system for each category. This meant that we had to describe the content of each system and provide sample policies and procedures.

Images

One would think that obtaining images that depict a health and social care service would be easy to find on the internet. But I can assure you that it is not as easy as that. True, there are lots of images out there, but many are American, but what we were looking for are images of people using social care services in the UK.

The website also needs to be balanced and take into account ethnicity.

Experience in using the Website

Research shows that people will not stay on your website if they find it difficult to navigate through it in a quick time. In essence, people visit websites because they are interested in gathering information or purchasing the products or services that are on offer.

They want a website that is pleasing to the eye that enables them to get from A to B in the quickest time possible. Potential customers who are looking to buy, need sufficient information in an acceptable and accessible format that enables them to make a decision on whether to contact you about your products and services or buy.

Added features on our new website

The Bettal website has taken into consideration the options that should be made available to visitors to the site. Customers can take advantage of the new features that we have added.

Visitors can now read about the content of our systems. See the quality of our documentation through the availability of sample documents. Take advantage of a free trial of the Bettal Quality Management System and buy the system online there and then. If customers wish to learn more about what Bettal has to offer they can contact us through our chat line.

Summary

At Bettal we recognise the importance of the website to the success of our business. In developing our new website, we wanted to ensure that visitors had a good experience and could find what they wanted in a quick time.

This involved a great deal more work than originally envisaged. Revising text to take account of the new CQC Quality Statements in our sample documents to researching images that gave a good representation of different categories of health and social care. Along with the newly added features. It all took time, but we now feel it is well worth it.

We will have our new website up and running from 10th March, 2023 and will email a link to all our customers and for those who are interested in our products for viewing.
