It's that time of year again

Updated: May 22, 2023

Looking back the year began with concerns about COVID and is ending with the new variant Omicron placing even more restrictions on our freedom.

It has been a mixed year for social care, with Government enforcing staff vaccinations leading to many leaving their jobs, and an embargo on recruiting staff from abroad has only served to exacerbate the situation. On a more positive note, the Government has at last produced a plan for the future of social care.

At Bettal Quality Consultancy along with providers we are concerned about the uncertainty in social care. Although our business is keeping pace with what we achieved last year, and we have supported many providers to gain registration.

As an optimist I always believe in looking positively to the future. We must take heart that the Omicron virus may not be as catastrophic as the Delta variant, and development of new vaccines will bring an end to the misery that has been endured by us all. Let’s make the most of what we have got and look forward with confidence to a brighter new year.

May I take this opportunity of wishing you and your family a Happy Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year.
