CQC Policies & Procedures in Nursing & Care Homes

Cared4 has now been on the market for more than 20 years It is now recognised as being among the leading quality management systems in the social care sector, with the longest success rate. Tantamount to the regard in which Cared4 is held by management, staff and CQC inspectors.

The Cared4 system for older persons has been the subject of substantial research, knowledge of inspection, and management of care services. It is underpinned by practical input from managers and care staff who work in care and nursing homes.

The care policies and procedures were developed with the help of staff working in care homes for older persons. They are therefore based upon the practical delivery of care tasks. The procedures follow best practice in a sequential format and therefore each stage of the procedure is clear and understandable to all staff.

As a result, Cared4 can be seen as much more than a set of policies and procedures but a quality management system that is also a training resource for staff. It enables managers to give new staff policies and procedures as part of their induction. As the policies and procedures are based on best practice, staff gain an understanding of quality of care from induction at the outset.
